We are a diverse international network of independent scientific and technical experts on plastics and plastic pollution. We contribute summaries and interpretations of scientific knowledge to decision makers involved in the negotiations towards the global treaty to end plastic pollution.
The Scientists’ Coalition has over 450 members from more than 70 countries, covering a broad range of scientific expertise related to plastic pollution. Our members are active and independent researchers who volunteer their time to summarize and communicate robust science. Our work supports policymakers to find science-based common ground and to make evidence-based decisions. The independence of our scientists is critical in ensuring the evidence we supply is not compromised by financial interests in the outcomes of the treaty. This is ensured through a transparent conflict of interest policy and process. The Coalition’s work is organized in thematic working groups to develop timely, relevant, and accessible resources and provide treaty negotiators with scientific expertise wherever and whenever it is needed the most.

La Coalition de scientifiques pour un traité efficace sur les plastiques est un réseau international composé de scientifiques et experts techniques indépendants.
